Local Attractions

We love walking/dogs

Located directly behind the stunning coastal path running between Barton-on-Sea and Lymington, the Beach House provides the ideal base to visit attractions such as Hurst Castle and the lovely high street and yachts at Lymington. Why not make a day or indeed night of it, explore all that the area has to offer and enjoy our fantastic hospitality into the bargain.

Please note that walking leaflets are available on request from the hotel.

Hurst Castle

Hurst Castle is situated at the seaward end of the shingle spit that extends 1.5 miles from Milford-On-Sea. The end of the spit is only three-quarters of a mile from the Isle of Wight and the views from the top of the centre keep are spectacular. The castle was the perfect location to defend the western approach to the Solent and built by Henry VIII and completed in 1544, is one of a chain of coastal fortresses along this part of the English coastline.
